Roofing and solar in Deltona
Deltona is commonly Duke Energy Florida.
The roofs
Deltona is the inland roofing market of Volusia: subdivision houses, mostly architectural shingle, built from the late eighties through the 2000s, with HOA rules and a lot of two-story gables. The typical job is a tear-off to the deck, a re-nail where the code requires it, and a secondary water barrier when the homeowner wants the mitigation credit, not just a dry ceiling.
The solar
These roofs are often the right shape for solar and the wrong age. If the shingles have fewer than ten honest years left, replace them before the array goes on. Duke’s bill, not a statewide average, is the rate to use.
